ANIC performs marriage ceremonies as a service in accordance with Islamic practice. The Imam performs the Islamic marriage contract followed by an informative lesson on marriage in Islam.
The Bride is required to have a guardian present, the ideal guardian is the father. The groom is required to have two Muslim witnesses to attend the ceremony.
The groom along with his family will offer the dowry and with the approval of the bride and her family this will be recorded on the marriage certificate.
The marriage certificate will be signed by the bride, groom, guardian and witnesses. The marriage certificate is provided to the bride and groom and a copy is kept with ANIC.
